FIRST REGIONAL INDIAN BUSINESS ALLIANCE SUMMIT DEEMED A SUCCESS!
Tribal leaders and Native American entrepreneurs met in Bismarck in December, 2014 to discuss topics relating to economic, workforce and business development.
The two-day networking and learning opportunity was sponsored by the Indian Business Alliances of ND, SD, MT, and WI, along with the Coalition for Indian Housing Advocates and Native Developers (CIHAND). A matchmaking session with prospective government and corporate buyers was coordinated by the Native American Development Corporation (PTAC) and the Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA).
The Summit keynote speakers, Waylon Honga and Bill LeCaine, addressed Tribal economic development and cultural values in business. More than 30 speakers from around the nation met to discuss securing access to capital, implementing uniform commercial codes, and doing business with the government. Time was also dedicated to exploring opportunities in energy, broadband and agriculture.
