Loren White Jr. is the procurement specialist for the recently opened Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) on Standing Rock located in Ft. Yates.
The Standing Rock PTAC is a satellite office of the Native American Development Corporation (NDAC), whose mission is to maximize the number of capable Native American individual and tribally owned companies in the Rocky Mountain and Great Plains regions in the government marketplace.
NADC-PTAC offers an array of services to Native American-owned businesses to assist in competing, procuring and successfully completing government contracts. Providing their clients with an understanding of the requirements of government contracting and the marketing know-how to successfully obtain and perform tribal, federal, state and local government contracts is a top priority of NADC-PTAC.
White will be working with and providing technical assistance to all of the tribes in North and South Dakota. Prior to working for NADC, White worked as a senior executive for a wholly owned tribal business and brings years of experience in the areas of tribal business and federal contracting. He is originally from White Shield, ND, located on the Ft. Berthold reservation, and is a citizen of the Mandan, Hidatsa and Arikara nation. White received his Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Minot State University and his MBA from the University of Mary.
By providing technical and resource assistance to Native American individual and tribally owned businesses, White and NADC’s goal is to improve tribal nations’ economies thereby creating and retaining jobs and bringing other economic benefits to tribal nations and their communities.
